Dorian... Update on Sandbags, Parking, Closings, etc.:

New precautions in light of changes in forecast

UPDATED 10:30 am, Tuesday, September 3

City Hall open for business

Sidewalk cafés open for business

Miami-Dade County schools closed today

Parking garages free to City residents until 6:00 pm tonight at which time they will resume normal operations and charges

Trash service returns to normal today
 
Important Updates
 
Sandbag distribution has ended
The City recommends keeping your sandbags for the remainder of hurricane season, but if you are unable to store them, they can be disposed of as bulk waste which the City will collect.
 
**Note: Do not put the sand on the beach or in any drains.

Parking: City garages remain open free of charge to residents. If you parked in one of the City garages, you have until Tuesday, September 3 at 6pm to remove your car
 
Sidewalk Cafés back to normal
 
Trash service: Returns to normal

Bulk trash: Pick up will resume Tuesday, weather permitting.
 
Trolley service will continue as normal unless sustained winds reach 39 mph.

Freebee is not operating today (Monday) but is expected to resume normal operations on Tuesday, weather permitting.

Miami-Dade Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday.
