Modifications to Convention Center park
The City has submitted plans to modify the design of the urban park that will replace the surface parking lot adjacent to the Convention Center. After the plans were approved, the City signed a long-term commitment with Design Miami which will utilize the center of the park for its large exhibit tent. Design Miami coincides with Art Basel each year in December. The revised park plans include an increased central lawn space and an overall increase of 54,000 sf (53%) of green space as well as the addition of a flexible programming area, a flexible play/exercise zone, and a public restroom building.
Plans here

The Gaythering, 1409 Lincoln Road, is seeking approval for construction of a pool and pool deck in its side yard. The 25-room boutique hotel sits on a corner lot bound by Lincoln Road, Lincoln Court and Bay Road. The proposed pool is 17’ by 6’. This item was continued from the November 7 meeting to get further community input. Since then, a coral stone clad wall has been added to the plans to block sound.

The Jewish Learning Center, 411 W. 41st Street, is applying to construct a second floor addition to the rear of an existing three-story building. Continued due to lack of quorum from the January 2 meeting.

The Board will also consider applications for a number of single-family homes.
